Found out that this comes out in July this year, and takes effect from January 2012.
New books will be Green. Thats another ÂŁ65 plus OSG etc to spend. Why can't we just buy the amendment and change the relevant pages in the book. It will only be someone at the IEE who has now't better to do than change a few bloody words. Probably Line has gone back to being called Live, or they have invented another word for bonding.

Cheers........Howard:mad:

To be fair there are a raft of changes in AMD 1, some are backtracking regarding the use of RCD's granted, but there are also some new topics all together.

I agree about the additional flaming cost though!!!

agree about the costs. they said there are too many changes to just issue an amendment for the regs so the full book will need to be re published. nothing at all to do with the sales of course. btw the green looks vile much preferred the red :)

Havn't we known about this amendment for quite some time now? It's been discussed a fair bit???

There is quite a few changes being made. The introduction of medical locations as a whole new location, appendix 12 being yanked out and chucked in with appendix 4 (where it should always have been in the first place) to name a few.

I appreciate it seems like a bit of taking the mick, especially in this climate, but it was always on the cards. That's why parts of the existing BRB have gaps and blanks.

I do believe though that the IEE should offer a recycling discount upon the return of the red book or something, for those non-geeks who don't like collecting them.

I'm saying nothing.
