Why is it? Where do you draw the line at what put on your report? As after all a out of date PAT could lead to a similar consequence? Wjat about light fittings that come pre wired, do we also have to strip them down too to ensure everything imternally is fine?That is a ridiculous scenario.
Do you not check for cpc at metalic fittings in little old dorris's lounge? Or is that outside of the electrical installation?
If you come accross an extract fan with a toasy pcb and melted internals in a bathroom do you ignore it?
Are we talking in the scenario of carrying out a EICR?
