Hi, I want to split a power supply lead into two - one going to supply one output, the other going to another, and up to now I have been cutting the wire in question (1.5mm sq) and putting two wires into one end of a butt splice/crimp and another wire out the other side.

However, I'm not totally happy with this arrangement, and am wondering if there is such a thing as a splice that can allow a third wire to split off? Maybe shaped like a 'T', perhaps?

Any such thing available?

I do butt splicing on heat trace tape into 1.5mm cable, and so the humble splice will remain the choice, I think, as the Wago device would be too bulky on the face of it, but for my other application inside an enclosure, they look perfect.

Much better, quicker & easier.

No there Not much better, they are just an alternative, and in some cases not the best alternative when you want the joint(s) in an installation to look professional. But i agree in the right circumstances, they are more than an acceptable choice...

I did'nt actually say they were better in every situation, but they are a Better / Easier option for his inttended use.

I normally keep a pack of 4 & 6 way in my kit & they come in pretty handy, another slight advantage is that you can get a meter prod into the holes if you need to test a circuit.

They're not considered MF though, right? (despite seeming to use exactly the same spring idea as in others that are)

the push fit ashely junction boxes are now maintainace free they use wago connectors in them and if im not mistaken new batches of these connectors have the MF symbol on
