That may be because of the new 2357 which is 2330 and the NVQ 3 combined

Not to sure but my understanding was that you would be able to finish the course, if you do a search on here for 2357 it may bring some more light on the issue

their are plenty of colleges offering level 3 this year. the shake up apparently should not affect anyone currently registered on the 2330. also my college is charging over double for 2330 level 3 this year. cheers

full course fees are around ÂŁ1000. and most people actually pay for the level 3 as the gov will give level 2 free if you do not have a level 2 qualification
cheers

Summit skills have said that they will no longer fund courses for people who are not in the trade, therefore the tech cert only courses are no longer in funding, hence the increase in tuition fees. Therefore the 2357 will be the only funded course and in effect will be only open to people in the trade i.e. apprentices. So anybody who hasn't got an employer or wanting to change trades has been royally shafted. Hence a lot of colleges are no longer running courses or only at full cost. :-(

Only saving grace is that for this year the level 2 will continue to be funded. If anyone is being funded at level 3 can you let pm me as my college is unable to secure funding for the level 3 and we would love to know how your college managed to do so :)

Are you saying that starting September you're getting funding for the 2330 Level 2 year 2 students, or for new enrolments on Level 2?

Because if you're getting funding for new students on Level 2 we'd love to know how you're doing it?

We're having to consider the PEO courses instead, just so that we've got a full-time course to run.

John, I'm afraid Mr Blue here is right - Summit Skills are adamant that the 2330 will no longer be funded. my advice to you is to eother start saving or find work
