Dear all
Borrowed this tool on site today and want to buy one
It fits onto an SDS drill, set it on hammer and it cuts out for metal back boxes
It measures 75mm x 35mm.
I’ve searched everywhere I can think of but can’t find it
Anyone know ?

Hi RSgas
Similar but not quite the same. I saw those in my search. Bloke who had it thought he paid about ÂŁ20 for it
Thanks for the speedy reply

got one.had it for ages. OK for thermalite block but try on brick and you may as well pi$$ into the wind.

As others have said, it doesn't work on hard brick. I tried one for a while a few years back, but decided a selection of SDS chisels was much easier, stopped carrying it in my box of SDS bits, and I finally threw it out only a few weeks ago.

I can't seem to find anyone who has these, the only links I can find seem to be discontinued, e.g.:
I'm pretty sure I bought mine off eBay at the time, and certainly didn't pay that much for it.

Cheers for that. At least I’m not going mad. They do exist

much easier to stich drill and then use a sds scutch chisel. using this method, i do a double box cut-out in engineering brick in 10 minutes or less.

I read these threads yesterday... both for sds chisels for sinking boxes...
Then low and behold, today looking at a job where customer wants addition sockets in her living room.... all brick walls.
Looks like I’m going to need one too.
