Very true. Listen to a lot of contemporary music these days and you can tell the artists / writers are just studying old music and rejigging. Us old farts are so cynical due to the fact we keep seeing the wheel being reinvented. They’ll renationalise the railways soon but it will fail due to the unions and inept management..but that’s another discussion.

I love Jimmy Carr, he does really funny 1 liner jokes.

If you want some REALLY annoying so called comedians, I would suggest Ricky Gervais and James Corden. Smug and unfunny to the extreme. Real c9median? Good old Ken Dodd, never needed to be dirty, laugh after laugh.

gervais is alright on his podcasts, the office was my kind of humour, his standup was a letdown though

james corden is another baffling case though, he is a waste of airtime

His uniqueness is good
(I only have to put up with 1 of him)
.... If an act can irritate the older generation (working WELL)

It's because he's a Christian! - I like him and I don't like the comedians who use the 4 letter words gratuitously!
