Have got to rewire a lighting circuit in a flat existing is singles but no cpc. Conduit embedded in concrete

Can i rewire with singles including cpc or have to use t&e

It's always best to run the singles in the conduit. It's a lot easier than trying to shove a conduit through single cables. ;)

do people actually go looking for these old threads?....

Yes, I'm reading with interest. I have a 115 year old flat (1st floor) to re-wire and don't have access to the space between the ceiling and the floorboards (of 2nd floor flat) above so any tips I can pick up from people like 'oldtimer' are golden nuggets to me.

thread is a year old, mate. to answer your question, consider battening out the ceiling with 4 x 2 timbers. get your cables in, then board it with a new false ceiling.
