What's the regs on carbon monoxide detection in a commercial premises? Would it need tied into a fire system or would aico hardwired versions do? If it's the latter I will do it, if it's the other then it'll be getting batted over to the fire alarm engineer.

Doing new build and I have taken advice from this forum re smoke/carbon detectors. All detectors are shown on the architects drawing which have been passed by the LBA. 2 x carbon detectors fitted due to open plan type wood burner Lounge/Kitchen. Now, reading above thread, would I require further CO detectors as the flue passes through center of house via the bedrooms?

Any thoughts re flue rising through bedroom areas?

Sorry missed the post....Best letting BC decide this, believe it depends on flue type, weather balance with air intact. or sealed, and position of inspection plates.
Not my best subject, so would get some advice.

My sales dude from CEF spoke to Aico today as i wanted a heat/carbon mono combined. They said they don't do one as they have to be seperate alarms however you can interconnect them.... seemed to defeat the object of them being separate alarms!

As I stated earlier...there must be a form of identification, to show either heat/smoke or co alarm. With Aico this is done by a locator switch

I don't believe your CEF dude gave you all the info Aico gave him. It clearly states in the Aico product selector that a locator switch should be fitted if mixing CO and fire detectors and Aico will tell you the same if you call them and ask about CO and fire detectors in the same installation

Not actually defeating the object though is it?
You have two separate working detectors but different to each other. If 1 goes off then the other one does due to the interlink.

Like previously mentioned Heat/Carbon Monoxide must be separated hence why Aico do not make them as 1.
