There is , I worked for BP for awhile , mainly at the depots , warehouses and offices in Manchester and Birmingham .
I am the same , it was in the early 80's and my memory is not great , but there are very strict controls on lighting etc.

Well I missed that bit lol. They have just built a Greggs take away about 100 feet from the pumps on the forecourt of our local Shell filling station , so I will join you lol.

Ok, I need more help!

I cannot find a place to get a 16a to 32a adapter? So Im thinking a way around it is to use a 16a plug to a standard plug > then running an extension lead off that to run the bare minimum items in the van, bypassing the inlet on my van altogether.

Is this an option??

NO. get a 32A lead and replace the 32A plug (supply end) with a 16A plug.

Didnt even know you could do that!

Is it difficult/should I definitely get someone else to do it for me, if so then who do you think could/would at short notice?
Or can I do it myself?

Thanks mate!

Thanks mate.

Just watched a video which basically shows you just have to strip down to 9mm then use the colour coded holes for the corresponding wires and snap on, then twist closed?

That sounds like my kind of skill level!

Considering where it is l would take that advice from Handyspark.
you do not want to be messing about with it to be honest.

One crisis averted, another one encountered!

Turns out it is not a 16a supply at all, it is a red 32amp 5 pin! So the ÂŁ60 odd quid ive just spent on the cable etc is utterly effing usless!lol!

Can anyone of you knowledgable heads solve this new problem? How to use a Red 5pin 32a supply to power my trailer which has a blue 3 pin 32a connection on it?

Free burgers and coffee is offered as reward!

the ÂŁ60 you spent on the cable would have gone a long way into paying an electrician if you'd only listened to previous advice. the cable may be usable, however, so all may not be lost. :(

I thought you meant get an electrician to do it about getting the cable made up mate! I paid someone to do that, but they didnt know (nor did I) that the supply was 3 phase.

Hes got his own sparky coming out next week so I suppose il have to wait until then :(
