Ste what are you doing in your fulltime job, are you not getting enough experience with that or is it a case of you wanting to learn different types of work, nothing wrong with that if so!!
Where abouts in Newcastle mate? Also what kind of maintenance work do you do?Newcastle mate, though im willing to travel around the north east for the right placement. that's why ive put north east. Cheers
Great post mateI've been in your shoes and walked your path, did not get much help until I joined the forum. Other members became my Mentors and have shown me the way. I am now a much better Electrician and a better businessman (ok running a small one man band + helping hands as and when needed) but I've reached my goal and passing it on. That's all. Now I have bigger goals via further education into other fields, 39 years old and still learning every day lol.
It does not take that much of an effort to help out a stranger make a better life for themselves, try it?
I've received help from this forum members, time to pay it back to those that ask for it/need it. Just ask Matt, Chris or Manda what I'm like in real life and on site. Daft as a brush but I know what I'm doing most of the time lol.
I'm just trying to make a positive effect on other peoples lives, thats all. Thanks for the acknowledgment, makes me push to do more.

Are right mate, not far from me then.....i work day shift start anytime from 0400-0600 and finish anytime from 1300-1600 all depends were i am at.
I'll drop you a pm rather than derail the thread!
Paul knows how much I appreciate what he does for me, and as others have said, its a shame we dont have more experienced guys like him to help us trainees out
I remember the first time Paul gave me some on site experience, and when I look back now I can see a massive difference from where I was then to the stage im at now
This wouldn't of been the case without the chances ive been given to get the all important site experience
worth putting your location as you never know Paul.M might have a twin brother living in your area
cool, it would be disastrous. just think, another "mad " spark in the family.
2 Paul's doesn't bare thinking about!!
