Changes to NVQ Level 3

I believe that NVQ L3/C&G 2356 is going to change in January 2011.

......Can anyone enlighten me on what the changes are??

Got to be worth it mate and with the 17th and 2391 your get an approved ticket and basically have work for life.

Its only the NVQ3 and pat testing that I'm lacking - and a driving licence. Working in London, I've never really been pressed for one as I generally do commercial, and parking in London is generally a no no.

Well if yourve never been pressed for one just carry on as normal

I tried jib to ask if am2 would make a difference and was told that they didn't grade over the phone.
I said I wanted to know what qualifications were needed as well as the ones I got and was told to complete a 2330 course as well as a nvq3,
I explained that this was a three year course and surely my qualifications superseeded these and again was told toapply and see .
I believe the jib are making these definitions of qualifications needed too boost aplications by persons who do not meet there criterea.or there secretary needs more training on what qualifications are out there and equivalents

Well what is going to happen to the thousand of time served sparks out there with all the knowledge and no NVQ. Are they going to be told in the future sorry you don`t have an NVQ go away or go back to school at a stupid cost. The impression I get is that you will not be able to just do the NVQ on its own anymore. Will JIB just grade everyone as a labourer without the NVQ regardless of other higher qualifications. Will the insurance companys force the employer to send all the employees to get NVQ`s or you can not get insurance at a reasonable cost. We have to put pressure on JIB and C & G to sort this in a quick way and get it wright the first time as history tells us it will take many years for them toget it correct look at the mess when the 2330 came in to being .They only just sorted it all out then out came the 2357 ,which is still not finished and has been coming out soon for the last two years. I work in other parts of the world and they just update there qualifications and build on the past, we are supposed tobe the highest standard in the world so we need toget it wright first time everytime.
