Is anyone else getting cheesed off with this sodding paperwork! For the last 2 months I've been trying to get purchase orders tied up with my sales, every week I think this is the week I'll get caught up! We've now got so much work coming through we have to make a choice - refuse a job and lose money to catch up with the purchase orders or carry on with the installs and hope we aren't penalised for it.

We provide a damned good service at a decent price but this petty paperwork is really starting to do my head in - especially when I see what other muppets are producing.

People Per Hour dot com and find a local, or call your accountant for a local bookkeeper, £15 / hour, ours does in 2 hours what used to take me a day! :)

Got a book keeper - not really one of my strengths I get bored easily. Didn't think about getting her to do purchase orders etc - thanks

Sorry I don't mean to be negative but when you've had as many 4am finishes as me in the last 3 or 4 weeks you begin to wonder if you'll get to see the money before the heart attack :-)

Do you have some suggestions?

There are a number of threads about business software.

I'm a sole trader and run Intuit Quickbooks Pro - it does everything I need and more. Estimates, client data base, suppliers, P & L for period, for job etc and all the reports for my accountant.

I started using it at the beginning of a financial year to make things a bit more straight forward to adjust.

I wouldn't be without it.
