same here, BW glands never have filled me with confidence when you nip them up CW's are less fiddly and easier to work with but saying that I'm happier with E1W and E1FW glands they are the dogs when it comes to glands

as for those armour slices you can go stick them with BW glands a hacksaw and a knife wins out every single time
why don't they give you much confidence?

as long as you dont cross any of the armour there fine and wont pull out

ive never seen an e1w gland but they sound like a really good idea

It all depends on the quality of the gland in the first place.
I'll take a CMP BWL gland over a niglon CW any day.

And CMPs C2KGP glands appear to be the dogs danglies for general purpose glands but I've only seen them demonstrated and not used one for real yet. They can take SWA and SY or any other type of braid or armour according to the blurb. Also the correct torque is achieved when the two parts of the gland make contact, easy to see if it has been under-tightened.

my 2 bahco adjustables make sure they're fully tightened.
Good man, they are the ONLY adjustable worth having, new ones with rubber handle i'm not keen on but have had a full set, replacing when 4 or 5 years old, since i was about 13. The Swedish invented them, you know. When i worked in Israel, one of us had to learn a bit a Hebrew,so in i went...turns out in Hebrew, adjustable spanner is "Sveede kee",which translates as "Swedish Key",although i favoured a "Gadol Batoosh",personally.....(big hammer)

anyone used the new ck armour slice swa cutting tool? if so how good is it
Yeah guy I work with got one, they are very easy to use, the blade Is spring loaded so all your have to do is ring it about 10 times (he says that's ideal) and it's a perfect score every time, think he got it from eddys for ÂŁ24 should of been ÂŁ30 too, he's old school and says he won't change back now, I've used too and is a piece of p to use

not at all. just that paul is like me. he'll weigh up the cost of a new tool compared to the number of pints you need to forego to buy it.
