A portfolio job i used for an NICEIC visit required me to return and carry out some extra works, take pictures and send evidence to the NICEIC.

the client does not care about the certificate being invalid as a result on not carrying out the repairs and they wont allow us back on site.

What will the NICEIC say in response when i call them tomorrow?

We’ll all find out when you report back after contacting them tomorrow. Get some sleep and forget it all until tomorrow! unless of course someone is on nights and fancies a banter with you.
Write a few things down in a notepad to talk to the scheme about tomorrow - all the best with it.

Detail in writing what the NICEIC have asked you to do and why? If client says no then not a lot you can do.

Did you supply / install the 50mm SWA? If your customer has now been told by your assessor that what you have done is wrong then it is not a suprising reaction but leaves you in a very awkward position. You may have to offer to pay for a third party to rectify the mistake (can a 16mm copper conductor be ran alongside?).

Is your client not letting you return because he is not happy with you or that he doesn't understand that the installation is not to regs or does he understand, but he is not bothered?

Does your client realise that you will fail your assessment unless you get access and rectify?

Personally, I don't think the client in this thread gives a Monkey, all he want's is the job done properly, for the money he has shelled out so far, Human nature I suppose.
