Hi,

I've recently finished college receiving my level 3 diploma in electrical installation I understand that my best possible option is to find an apprenticeship within the electrical industry. But, if anyone is familiar with what this diploma can do for me please could I get some advice? I'm wondering if there is anything I can do with this diploma besides finding an electrical apprenticeship as in what options do I have or what paths could I take.
Thanks,
Kieran.

Get a job as an electricians mate or improver. What qualification did you get?

Welcome to the forum Keiron97
After completing the level 3 diploma you might want to think about sending some out a good well written covering letter and C.V to electrical contractors in your area.
Try posting a decent request for work as a mate in the forum. Im not sure of your experience or background but if you have just finished college with no onsite experience you will need to work alongside someone who is willing to teach you domestic commercial and industrial electrical installation work to progress further in the trade.
In the covering letter include your future goals and what you want to achieve and accomplish in the future. Try all your local electrical wholesalers and ask to put a small advert for electricians mate in the shop that may well work.
You need to promote yourself as much as possible and you may get lucky.
Good luck and keep trying you will probably get very few replies but it only takes one.
