have been asked to do kitchen rewire isit ok too split tails and run too new consumer unit with 30mA powerbreaker before board. very likely going to have 63A main switch, 32A ring 2.5mm and seperate circuits for all appliances... on 16A breakes all on 2.5mm. do you reccomend not putting any appliances on the rcd.. i.e fridge freezer. and would you add smoke alarms/heat

you must be buying cheap screws then. a good screw is hard to find, but when you find one a couple of good bangs does the trick.

All joking apart, I was once given a (so called) fully experienced mate, "He's great" said the gaffer "what he doesn't know is not worth knowing" he gushed.
So off he went with an SDS and a scutch bit chopping boxes in. So far so good I thought, I then started to bring cables through the floor to the boxes which he had fixed with filler foam.
Hmmmm

Steel conduit should be fine, check the table to find out the grouping factors and so on. If there are sockets on the Island you may be able to run one or more 2.5mm radials protected at 20A. 20A on 2.5mm radials is a standard circuit configuration, just check the likely load.

well got there today disconnected all appliance marked out all positions for sockets , tomorrow let the dust flow. everytime ive done chases ,ive used wall chaser, the dude im working with said we just using sds, any tips guys on this way of chassing block...
