I would say that remounting the inverters is the most urgent matter. If ever there was a fire and you haven't followed manufacturers guidelines.........

I'd say it is pretty important to get the cables sorted also, although this isn't a matter of safety and it is therefore far less pressing.

If your electrician has got it wrong then it is up to him to put it right if he has signed it off.
 
As always guys you have been so so helpful and many thanks to your speedy and helpful replies.

The electrician in question signs off the work so he is basically f****ed when the MCS come to visit later this month!!
 
The problem is the MCS inspector will inspect the company not the individual, so it's the company - whoever's name is the person named in your documents as ultimately responsible that'll get the rapped knuckles, and be given just a few days to rectify it all.

The electrician may get fired for it, but it's not his business that's at risk, and I bet he's already been paid !

Be best if you showed the MCS peiple what you've found and tell them what you're doing about it, they'll appreciate the honesty.
