Consumer Unit cables?

Currently doing a full rewire where the consumer unit is under the staircase.

The easiest way to route the cables for upstairs is to come out the top of consumer unit and run the cables diagonally so the cables would come out under the floorboards at top of stairs.

How would you go about this, as the cables wouldnt be in the safe zones?

yep defo trunking all the way as beaver said. Unless you want 2 route all the cables into a cupboard then into trunking 2 go upstairs, inside the d.b cupboard is easier
