Does anyone know what the local supplier charges to isolate the supply for a consumer unit change?

thought that was the argument for.....well according to the DNO anywayThey should not charge anything for a temporary denergisation since they are the ones that force you to call them out to do it.
If they start charging then they will really have no argument for not fitting isolators.
The DNOs say that it is not safe to have people not employed by them changing their equipment it is therefore a requirement that their employees come out.thought that was the argument for.....well according to the DNO anyway
When I was a little green I spent almost an hour once on the phone to a supplier trying to get permission to pull the main fuse! Waste of time IMO. Told them that under the electricity at works act I have no choice but to cut the seals and pull the fuse.
Which I did and have done ever since without permission ;-0! Good luck
