Got my first request to install a replacement CU today but there is no company isolator on the tails so what is the correct way of isolating the incoming supply through the tails to the board please?

Thanks

Are you registered under part p?
southern electric now allow registered sparks to pull fuse (they also give out free seals) wont be long before others follow suit.

Thats correct about SSE Info is here (PDF)Removal Of Fuses

There was a working party set up by DCUSA, with a view to getting an agreement for DNO's to allow outside competant persons, with additional training, to withdraw and replace service fuses. However according to the ESC the proposer (EDF energy) has now withdrawn the proposal due to lack of widespread support from the industry ie. suppliers, distributors and meter operators. No surprise there then :rolleyes:

DCUSA document DCUSA - Change Proposal Details

ESC switched on article.http://www.esc.org.uk/pdfs/business-and-community/SwitchedOn-Issue-16.pdf

Cheers EDF!!
