Consumer unit mounted on a board

Hi Chaps
I've got a consumer unit change to do and the existing CU is mounted on plywood. I know this is a no no but I can't find a specific reg. Is it in Part B (Fire) of the building regs or BS7671? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Can't you? Surely they are often mounted on wooden board? Obviously provided they are designed to be mounted on normally flammable surfaces.

Closest I can come up with is reg 131.3.1 & .2. But if we install the cu correctly in the first place why would we need a fire proof back board?

No problem with mounting a CU on a ply board.

It's Qwikline. Won't comply with 17th edition for a Domestic Install unless you load up RCBO's on the non-rcd side.
