Hi,
I have been asked to replace a fuse box with a new consumer unit.
I visited the flat today and found that it has 2 separate fuse boxes and 2 separate feeds (possibly on different tariffs).
Do I need to fit 2 separate consumer units ?

what do you mean are you saying you have two cutouts, tariff are usually worked out by a dual tariff meter or two seperate meters originating off one supply.
Is it that your cutout is 3 phase with two been metered? and a spare one.

If one fuse box is full of 15anp or 20amp fuses its possible you have off peak board as well as general board, i take it there are storage heaters in the flats.

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, one board has 2 15A fuses and 2 20A fuses, so they must just run the storage heaters then ?

I think I will ignore that board and just replace the main baord with the sockets and lights on it.
