Stuck on Unit 304 Task B, the question states the method on how to carry out a ring final test on a radial circuit. Thanks

Right, the question is "The socket outlets in the shop are installed on a ring final circuit, and the sockets in the glass house are wired in radial circuits. Describe the method for carrying out the test to confirm continuity of ring final circuit conductors".
Obviously for ring its the 3 step, fig of 8 but I don't know how to do it for the radial circuit.

Re-read the question and think about exactly what it is asking you to do.

It is asking you to describe the test to confirm the continuity of ring final circuit conductors, it makes no reference to the preceding information about specific circuits.

Only Continuity Don't get into anything else. Only answer the question that is asked.
Then what everyone else said about the radial

You'll probably have noticed/noticing that exam questions are almost deliberately written to trip you up. Especially C&G papers.

It's really important to read and re read a question.

I know how to carry out a ring final circuit test, I can carry out all the tests in the anagram of CRIPPER. The sockets in the shop are ring so I carry out a ring final but the sockets in the glass house are radial, to my knowledge there is no radial final circuit test, I assume you carry out a ring final for that but I am just not sure

There are tests for radials, you do them when testing a circuit serving a single point (for example). However, the narrative bangs on about rings and radials THEN asks how you're going to test for continuity on the ring, so tell them about it and nothing else.

Thanks a lot for clearing that up, City & Guilds will do their best to confuse me and certainly did so I will put cont. of ring as the answer and should be okay.
