Cooker and Hob Query?

Hi, doing a rewire and the customer is having a cooker with a separate hob in the kitchen.

Do I need to put 6mm cable in for the cooker and continue as a radial for the hob, or would the hob go on the kitchen ring main?

Thanks

the only problem i can see is if you have an oven normally 2 to 3 kw , and they are flexed with 1.5 mm flex so if connected directly to the cooker outlet there would not be any over load protection for the cable there for it will require additional protection ie a fused spure anything over 3 kw then the circuit will require an additional independant supply

Just a thought but 4900w seems a lot for an oven - is this the combined total of oven and grill perhaps? In which case it is not normally possible to have both on at the same time (I do realise it could of course be a double oven - but even so still seems quite high)

probably a combination of grill oven which you will not use both the plates and loadings on the appliance is total loading
