the round pin socket is the 5amp socket ive been reffering too.Had one recently that the manufacturers engineer would not do an onsite warranty repair because he could not unplug the cooker hood to isolate it from the supply because it was connected to an FCU. Just something to bear in mind
I tend to use round pin sockets with fused plugs or the MK "T earth pin" sockets to provide a non standard connection point
wouldn't that socket be inside the hood... If the hood removed at a later date what stopping the whoever change it to a standard one anyway??

who is going to plug into a socket inside a hood????
why would you want to make your customer take the hood off the wall to change a fuse??
Why not just use a FCU with a socket inside the hood if externally vented.
