Cooker installation advice

Can u run a 6 mm cable for hob 32 amps and 2.5 cable 16 amps off same cooker switch , 45 amp cooker switch wired on own circuit back to cu on 32 amp breaker.

I'm confused, there are millions of such similar installs across the country with on one 6mm 32A radial supply, feeding separate ovens & hobs. Whats the issue?

Noted, it’s just about where both appliances are terminated , can u feed them both to one cooker switch.

solution is to feed from 45A cooker isolatir to a dual outlet..hob one side, oven the other. . the oven is a fixed load and so does not require overload protection.

No problem. One cable to the dual outlet and connect both appliances to it with diversity applied they will rarely achieve that for a sustained period.

The other options are probably not available.
What did the electrician that came out say?

After all they have the best information and knowledge of the installation.

On every occasion 32 + 16 =48,thats a simple mathematical truth.
However that is not the correct way to calculate th eload on this circuit, you need to apply diversity.

applying diversity to 48A. ( 10A+ (38A x 0.3)) = 21.4A. add 5A if isolator has a built in socket.
