Cooker Installation

Hi Guys,
I am about to install a cooker rated at 2.2Kw and a hob at 6kw with an extractor.Is it ok to use flex cable with plug as the cooker is under 3Kw and 6mm cable for the hob There are existing cooker points in the kitchen.When diversity is taken into account the demand should be about 20Amps.I was thinking about replacing the old cooker MCB with a 30amp RCBO.Any advice welcome.Thanks in advance

Why replace the MCB with an RCBO, what is the rating of the current MCB?

I have been told that it is 40A but I have not seen it.There is only a single way available in the board, doesn't the MCB have to be replaced with an RCD or RCBO?

You don't have to replace the MCB for an RCD or RCBO on a cooker circuit. Does the cooker switch have a socket on it?

Hi Brightspark,the cooker switch does have a socket on it.I was going to plug the 2.2kw cooker into this
