cooker keeps tripping rcbo as soon as you switch it on

hi people not sure if this is the right place or even the right site to be looking for help but have some problems with my cooker keep tripping the rcbo.

it will reset when the wall switch is off but as soon as you switch it on the rcbo trips, I thought that the cooker had snuffed it so got a new one and wired it in....same problem.

if I disconnect both cookers from their cables the trip resets, I have put a voltage tester on and all seems ok in till I connect cookers back to the cables, my electricians away for a few weeks and it's really bugging me,
any help would be appreciated, if I'm in the wrong place please let me know

Probably all sorted now.
In any case, many new and old cookers use elements that absorb moisture.
If they are left unused for any length of time, the absorbed moisture can trip RCDs.
Using a hair dryer to dry the elements can often solve this problem. At least until the next time.

suspect a N-E fault on circuit. trips RCBO as soon as a load is applied.

Probably all sorted now.

would be unlucky to have both elements go on the old cooker and a brand new one, but will have a electrician out and test it all

When we had a new kitchen I installed a new range cooker. As soon as we switched it on it tripped the rcd. Turned out to be a cable inside the top of the hob, (which lifted up) had been trapped when manufactureres put it together.
