Evening Chaps...

Usually try to avoid core cutting if poss or have been lucky on most jobs before and managed to cut from the outside in.... if you know what I mean.

But have a few coming up at where I've got to cut from the inside ---> to out.

Couple of questions please ?

- Best way limit mess/dust ? (especially if whole room isn't being refurbished at the same time, carpet down etc)

- Best way to cut a near perfect hole and avoid snagging any of the face brickwork on final break through ? (had this before and ended up putting bigger grill to cover it, not ideal really)

Many Thanks,

Sy

Surprised myself with this one, first turned henry on and the suction held it there !!

But still needed my mate as a back up to hold it there in place, as when the bit started to spin the slightest knock and it became unstuck. Nice air tight seal though...

Well got it sorted in the end... no access from outside so had drill from within. Good old Henry and a BnQ bucket, couple of pictures below (that's just the pilot hole going through, but got core cutter in there also after.) Worked a treat.
When done reached out the window and stuck grill on with some weatherproof contact adhesive - set solid within 30 secs :8:

Good lad !!

Y'see .... us Geordies aren't as thick as some folk think we are !! ;)

Marcrist do a adaptor that fits on the cores and the extensions have a hole in the middle. Connect extractor to adaptor job done. Like the bucket idea tho. Mcgyver type genius in action there.
