Hi
Just filling in a domestic eic

Question I've got is the main house feeds a DB In a garage, then there is a sub main from there to a shed db

The eic is for the new db at the shed

On the certificate form for the particulars of the installation would that be the shed, garage feeding the shed or the origin details
As in "main switch or circuit breaker"

Thanks

Ok so the
Supply protective device is the main incomer 60947-3

Then particulars of the installation
Main switch or circuit breaker
Would that be the MCB supplying the garage DB or the MCB supply the shed DB?

Protective Device is the Service Fuse, usually BS1361 or if newer it may be BS88. The Main Switch is at the "Front End". Either a separate Isolating Switch or the Main Switch of the Consumer Unit. In theory you need to test the New Circuit back to the origin. So the sub-main to the garage as one circuit on one page then an additional page for the sub-circuit from the garage board. This is because the particulars of each Consumer Unit need to be recorded on their respective pages. Hope that helps. Your Part P organisation should be able to help you with filling out Certificates.

Part 6 - PARTICULARS OF INSTALLATION REFERRED TO IN THIS CERTIFICATE ?

Would be the shed, (you are not interested in the house or what is in the garage) however the supply details need to be taken into account as do the sub-mains (house to garage, and garage to shed) as post #4
