id put a warning label on as the 2 colour version stickers, along the lines of 'caution live feed maybe at top of mcb' covers you then

Engineer 54 -In Iraq they used to call BS7671 - Bull **** 7671.
The are convinced they are the greatest ever, even though NEC doesnt call for american electricians to test any of their work, some of them stare vacantly at you when you mention loop impedance or testing of any kind.
Ive seen them fit 3 phase RCCB's upside down, meaning 2 phases then dont have RCD protection, Ive heard Master electricians asking british sparks, hey man just how many neutrals go to this 3 phase motor man? (logic I beleive being that there were 3 lives, so he thought there must be 3 neutrals)
Ive seen them connect 400v to a contactor coil and blow it up, connect water heaters wrongly,
wire new panels and mix up all the neutrals so when people have come afterwards, disconnected the cct and supposidly its neutral only to be the wrong one and get shocks.
They really are incompetent at times, yet shout about how great they all are.
My argument is always the americans must hold our standard in high esteem as all new construction is now put in to our 'bull**** 7671'
the only thing good about this place is the money, the rest is so forgettable, I cant wait to move on, am over it !!!!

I've been working in and around Yank engineers most of my overseas life, i know exactly what there like. lol!! None here on this project though, Not yet anyway!! lol!!

I was once told by a Yank manufacturers trouble shooter (that was happy to see a UK engineer in charge) that American engineers working overseas are generally the dregs that couldn't hack it back home in the states. He reckoned that the good engineers didn't need to work overseas, as they earned good and sometimes much better money back home!! ...lol!! So that probably goes for the electricians too!! All that, may or may not have changed since the global recession of 2008 though!!

Just keep cashing the cheques mate, in years to come you'll have stories to tell, that i can assure you no-one will believe!! lol!!!

nothing to do with your spec but I am in agreement with you and mine is is in connection with pv wher it appears to be acceptable to feed an mcb from the top, i was taught that fuse etc are fed from the bottom, I know it makes no difference to the operation though
