It was huge consultancy fees in order to get contracts.

Rail industry is unbelievable.....before you own lads, there is track supervisor to pay for each platform, track manager to pay...then if your lucky 3 hours work for the lads at full rate.

needed a company to fill in and wet glaze old fire p clip holes on tube....aprox 200 holes per platform..2 x platforms. Cheapest quote was £38k for 4 guys 4 nights....????????

Umbrella companies for those electricians that have to take on agency work due to the big companies not taking on people direct.

They get paid less than the going rate, then pay tax, + tools, + travel and then have to pay a company so they can pay them a weekly wage. Corruption which is legal but hits the pockets of every agency worker.

Umbrella companies and their system is the most corrupt for the hard working man these days, this has to be stopped imho. Why pay a company £20+ a week so you can get paid???? Only done a few agency jobs in the past myself, but this winds me up.

I remember a company called Gabem I used to pay to get paid. Very weird and bang out of order.

Yeah, I could not believe it when my quote was accepted. I had the rest of the year off
