look i have a problem,the cscs web site has ask to do a health and safety test in oder to get a cscs card but I'm not sure which level of health and safety test they will be giving

Question:-

Why is the cscs qualification only valid for 2 years yet your electrical qualifications are valid for life??

Well not sure it is a scam but it is lucrative, I get my new card in May and it will have on it my new qualification for the 2382-20. I also believe that within the future the JIB are talking about putting PV qualifications on them, so as our industry changes so will our cards, an IMO quite rightly.

yeah my CSCS runs out in July, but my ECS is still valid for another year??, so do I take the test in June 2011 or 2012?? They used to run side by side

Pv? That's another scam.

Everyone is paying higher electricity bills in order that those rich enough can install and reap the benefits of the feed in tarif funded by higher bills from us all.

Would like to see some figures of when you start making money after the install, I worked it out a couple of years ago, and it would have taken 17 years to pay for itself! Might be a 'little' different now, but that technology sure is NOT moving fast!

just got my new ecs card but this will run out next year, 18months they have given me smells like another new scam they say i need to do yet another course an NVQ level3 at a cost of £750 to £1500 sqid, at this time they want to screw everyone down for there last coin in the pocket. 26 years ive been a spark never needed an NVQ, they have cut backs and jump on us for more money what do they do with the cash? its only a small room with laptops and 1 assessor.

senoir graded Trainee, i have 2360 part 1+2 2381 2382, 2377, 2391, EAL not sure why i done the last but did. lol
i have had cards for years from them, now they wont give me any longer. most job rolls have been Electrical supervisor.

Also when I done mine 25 years ago it was 236 a and b, not this 2330 or whatever it is now

It must be the white card you was talking about, LOL the only thing they said is that i need to complete the NVQ level3 to gain a gold card, ive just looked at the NVQ 3 its the same as wht you do in college for the C&G level 3 what a scam.

from what a freind has told me with this new stuff 2330 you dont have to complete electronics.

as far as i recall you need NVQ 3 to get approved but can get a gold card as an electrician with out the NVQ 3 unless they have changed that now, i phoned JIB and asked for the forms for CSCS because mine needs renewing and said to the lady why do i have to do it again she replied that the H and S has changed, what in a couple of you years i replied
