Hi chaps

Is it acceptable to just keep this ELCB in place but as an isolator? or should I get rid?

Thanks

IMO, it's acceptable, but for what it costs, i would replace with a 100A D/P isolator. you don't know if the internals of that VOELCB are in decent condition.

Can't really see a problem with leaving it in place as a DP isolator, but do remove the earth conductors from the unit!! If the truth be know the Switch, contacts and mechanism, is a dammed sight better engineered than those of a new DP isolator!! lol!!

I might use this one for my NAPIT assessment... Would the assessor frown upon this being left in place as an isolator? eg... is it still recognised or is it well outdated?

I would hazard a guess your electrician may be able to contact your DNO and have the switch swapped to a MFS very quickly..
