I might use this one for my NAPIT assessment... Would the assessor frown upon this being left in place as an isolator? eg... is it still recognised or is it well outdated?

All I can say is if you leave it and do not replace it then you you will fail your NAPIT assessment.

It's not a double pole switch though it's an ELCB - there's a clue in what it says on it. If you start using it as a double pole switch it can give rise to confusion.If it were me, that assessor would have to give me a bloody good reason for failing me!! lol!!

I can see why it WAS there, but why would you need to replace it with an isolator?
just wire the CU direct
