Dado problems MK

Finishing off project,having trouble fitting bottom lid on dado.
Its Mk,not the normal 3 compartment,lower compartment larger than the top.
a extra container is added to the bottom of the dado to fit the larger lid.
Why this is specificed I have no idea,Mk tech have not been very helpfu,& after a lengthy time say’s its the lid,new lid arrived but still will not fit,a nightmare.
Anyone fitted this type of dado?

Looks like the extension clips in and has it's own lid.

It looks ok,will try & get pic.
It seems the added on carrier is the problem,a fault @ the factory.
Its a nightmare cause there’s approx 170 m of bottom lid still not fitted,completion this weekend,NO Chance.

I have honestly never seen a dado like that with differing sized top & bottom compartments

One thing I have learned from this thread is to check dado trunking lids before it’s installed...

Agree the bottom lid was left off for the IT Installers,which are always the last to finish.
We are now actually self tapping the bottom lid into place on the underside,to get hand over completed.
And hopefully replace @ later stage,who’s gonna pay for all that work,who knows.

you could always superglue the lid on and hope no poor sod has to add any additional data cables

I used the MK prestige stuff 4/5 years ago on some council offices. Took 3 of us a weekend to lid it, my palm must have gone through about 5 layers of skin that weekend, it’s a shitshow. Are you sure you have bottom lid and not top lid as they are different if I remember correctly? They might have sent you 2 batches of top lid by accident? Also I think we worked from bottom to top so bottom lid first then middle then top. Hope something in that helps. Good luck

Yea it’s definitely problems with the bottom container rail & lid.
