Merry Xmas folks,

i have my elecsa assesment in 2 weeks time. Once through that, I have then completed my relevant courses and will be a certified domestic installer.

I do have more than just 2 weeks electrical knowedge though. I am also a qulified plumber, and have been installing domestic circuits for a while. (Having them checked by other certified people)

I will be lookiing for my own electrical jobs in the new year and wanted to get opinions on a suitable daily date for charge.?

So for a fully qulified (member of elecsa) part P domestic installer. What should my daily rate be?

All advice welcome...

thanks

just a question when u have been installing the domestic circuits and then having them checked by a certified person which type of cert have they been issuing you, just out of interest how much did they charge you and how much did you charge for the wiring?

A fully qulified, Part p, domestic installer..not a fully qulified electrician. I know to difference, and happy to work within my scope. I am stateing what I am to the letter. This is not misleading.

But thank you both for you extreamly unhelpful replies...

That disgusts me to be honest and smacks of, well I doubt I can say any more without getting a sanction, moderated or banned.

If you have any queries Paul, feel free to contact admin.

To be brutally honest, I'm a little tired of your holier than thou attitude toward anyone you deem lower than your almighty self.

This forum is and always has been run in exactly the same way, A FRIENDLY PLACE FOR EVERYONE TO USE.

If you don't like it, as I said contact admin. Also, there are many other forums out there to use if you still feel unable to abide by our rules.

As a sugestion, maybe try helping people rather than posting a stupid/unhelpful responce. ..

Just a thought....

Ok mate, You asked for constuctive opinions: Once you've got all your pieces of paper under your belt. Find yourself a job with a good local firm doing Domestic wiring for a couple of months & get some proper experience. Think you'll find that there's 1 hell of a lot about the job that your Qualifications have'nt taught you. There's no substitute for working alongside a good Tradesman to learn the ropes.
At the moment your going to be going into peoples properties & useing them to learn on so with all due respect to you, in terms of charges your not really worth much. Obviously as you gain more experience on site then that will change.
