DC cable termination

Hi all

Always looking to take advice!

I am running two 5 core 50mmm SWA supply cables from my inverter location within the installation site to the roof, here i will be needing to connect to each of the cores up to 11 6mm dc cables.

Does anybody have any recommendations on what equipment would be best suited for this task?

It will need to be rated for external conditions.

Yep string fuses etc etc - you'll need specialist DC junction boxes - also may need surge proctection and even a remote firmanes switch - what did the isnurance company say?

Usually called 'string combiner boxes', tyco make them - call Andy at Sibert, if anyone can source them he can

Bear in mind they'll need to be weather proof, and accessible, it may be better to run the string cables off the roof, it's only 22 strings.

Insurance is sorted, surge protection sourced, and ill look at the string combiner boxes by tyco. And actually its 55 strings going in, so 110 lines :icon7:
