Any tips .. good practice decommissioning ceiling roses. Recommendations re small MF JB that can be used to maintain continuity of the loop and poke back up above ceiling without knocking too bigger hole?
 
could use these with some heat shrink.
 
I’d have thought nothing was maintainance free ref wago/lever connectors unless they were in the manufacturers box’s?....what are you doing @FatAlan doing away with the roses completely?...

Customer has a couple of ceiling lights in living room that they want removing and made safe. That’s why I was asking really re the wagos having to go inside the correct enclosure to make them MF.
 
The regulation actually states that the enclosure must be marked MF to comply

Yes they do
 
given the choice if repairing a cable in a wall and there's no slack and i can't be arsed chopping into the brick, i'll write "MF" on the heat shrink with a Sharpie. what about repairing a cable with crimps and heat shrinking the joint? that's not officially MF either.
