code i gave Trev was for the clamp....Yes Glenn I'm aware of that although I might be inclined to dispute the coding, the comment was more in surprise at the Ze than the clamp. I've seen boatloads like this, and worse.
well...I bet you won't get much of a Ze value out of that connection!!!! That jubilee clips looks to me, as if it's been attached to the PVC sheath of that DNO cable. It certainly doesn't look like any PILC that i've ever seen in the past!!
As for your extremely poor selection of the correct cable earthing clamp to use, i think your right to leave it another electrician. Hopefully, he will know about ''Constant Force'' spring earthing clamps. Not that they would be any good, on what could well be, a concentric or split concentric cable!! lol!! Maybe better to, contact the DNO and ascertain exactly what, if any, earthing system is being supplied to this installation!!
i`d look to get a Ze before condemning it Trev...Well obviously we're only looking at a picture so can't tell properly but that to me does not look like a secure earth connection so I'm tempted with a 2
well what we have here is duty of care & ensuring the install was good for continued service at the time of inspection & testing.....Which is exactly why I've wrote the words I have mate but just because it has a good Ze at present it doesn't make it a secure connection does it
excactly...
whats this `thing` that some in here have with the adiabatic?
