Well I'm no Electrical Trainee and still use the word fuse box and bulb. Just a another silly post to demean certain members. At least they are not on the dole claiming benefits. You try to better yourself and get dragged down by idiots

I like this thread apart from the tittle, I'm not going to bite lol.


Socket and lighting cable instead of 2.5 or 1.5 (or whatever CSA of cable you require to install the circuit).

The earth in a "twin & earth" is actually a CPC that is connected to Earth at the Main Earth Terminal and not the "earth bar". From now on we should all call it "twin & CPC" and earth sleeving should be CPC sleeving (only joking, dont bite lol).
