Hi everyone.
I'm looking to replace the old light fixure in my conservatory that the previous owner had installed. After removing old light fixture, I don't have enough of the old electrical cabling to extend to new light fixture. So I'm thinking of using a junction box to extend the electrical cabling wire. I've seem junction boxes online showing one type of cabling going into junction box and different type of cabling coming out. Attached are pictures which I hope explain what I'm taking about, one picture of existing old electrical wire and other of the wire I was looking to use as an extension to new light fixture. And finally the junction box I'm looking to purchase. If its safer to purchase same electrical wire and extend that way, I don't mind doing that. My skill set, basic electrical knowledge. Not qualified in any way.
