Do I need rotary isolator switch?

Hi all,

I'm installing a temporary supply to a modular kitchen and need to bring over a new 3PN supply for a new temp consumer unit located externally in a suitable IP enclosure.

The cabin is connected via 63a plug, do I need a rotary isolator to control my 63a socket if the said socket is literally next to the CCU? Can the MCB be used as local means of isolation?

I would normally install a isolator but as this supply is only in situ for 3 months it seems a waste of materials (which will most likely be binned at the end) and also reduces the space required within the enclosure.

The plug itself is a means of isolation.

as mainline says pulling the plug out with give you isolation. My concern is plugging in a 63 amp plug in on load. I would much prefer to use an interlocking socket . But if it only going to be there for 3 months and notgoing to plugged in and out regularly. Then I cant see any need for the rotary isolator

I would hope this temporary CU has an incomer switch, in which case label the socket so anyone lacking electrical skill is told to switch off before inserting or removing the plug.

Not fool proof, as fools are damn inventive, but for anyone with a bit of care they will do what is suggested and no arcing pins on the connectors.
