Hi I'm mature age. I've studied and worked as an engineer (mechanical) so I have a fair bit of background in electrical theory. I've also wired up loads of things in my life and done fault finding on circuits with multimeters. I've also taught DC circuits to classes (and some AC) and the use of some basic tools - multimeters, crimpers, strippers. Do I need to do a cert 2 to be considered for an apprenticeship as an electrician? The course outline looks very basic to me.
