Right ... Just been nudged to set this up by Paul.M and sounds a good idea following recent threads I've done in the Arms..

I've posted this a few times and this is at a mates house following a kitchen refirb several yrs ago. mg_smile:

took me a full 30 seconds to see the red wires in the terminal with the green/yellow and mentally compute that it looked WRONG!!!

Last time I had a similar case (friend says he changed the rose and now it trips) it took me nearly 10 minutes to find the issue. After staring at the rose for ages thinking there's absolutely nothing wrong here and feeling stupid I finally found the CPC the switch end was in L2 at the switch. It had been all along. In those daft circumstances it actually matters which way around the two switch wires are connected the rose end!

Rolec actually sell a module like this, in the same type of casing as their EV chargers, but they do place the socket above the tap

Hmm. New tap, and that looks a lot like brick dust from where the tap was installed - after the socket.

Yes looks like the plumber might have moved the socket down and put his tap where the old socket position was , OR the socket was already there and the tap was put direct above the existing socket

Chris the Plumber been in the area by any chance ?

What’s the problem? turn the tap on and it’ll miss the socket…. Unless the flap is left open.

Tap water is known to have cooling qualities, so will keep the socket at optimum operating temperature?
I suppose they’d rather have the socket above the tap, with electricity running down the wall into the hosepipe..??

Looks like Holly, the reporter (nothing to do with the time of year) doesn't know the difference between brickwork and stonework....nothing unusual, I suppose, being an 'expert' in her field.

Should have made it a 'who done it', with that dust.

I'm calling BS on this, check the brick dust on top of the socket.

The tap is all bright and shiny.

I'd be surprised if the taps even plumbed in.

I think we all came to that conclusion a very short time after it was posted, the tell tale dust on top of the tap was noticed by Raptor straight off still it wasted a few hours away from the damed jigsaw.

Got a call out to a tripping cooker, which turned out to be a faulty light in it.

Anyhoo, pulled the cooker out to get access in the back of it and was presented this awesome workmanship and attention to detail.
