Yes, and I got them to unplug everything in the kitchen anyway.

It's not upside down, just not correctly fitted.

I had this sort of thing at a friends old house a few years ago - dead short that just made no sense, lifted boards and could physically see end to end the section of cable in question, undisturbed for 30 years. New length drawn in, examine the old..... after peeling off the outer sheath it revealed a manufacturing defect internally, one of the conductors was missing about 3mm of insulation. No idea how it had suddenly come to light after all that time.

It's not upside down, just not correctly fitted.

If you look at the blank on the bottom it says "This way up for CU" the way it is fitted says "This way up for TPI"

Thanks for the heads up. I really hope for the customer that isn’t the case as it will be a nightmare for them. High end kitchen in place since it was done in 2012.

Somebody had previously put heatshrink to low on the lug resulting in two phases getting very hot!

Yeah it is a 777-200, IDG cables on a GE90 engine
