what happened, i was going to remove a fused spur so the walls could be tilled, i was the only one in the lodge so just turned off the main switches, i know we should check, but you would think it would be off.

As i got hold of the wires, i did swear a bit.

Lesson learnt for all of us.

something i didnt mention . it gets worse, because when the main isolator is off and the rouge mcb is on the neutral bar is live and then of course all the neutrals that leave this bar become live..

thats not good, im surprised no manufacturer makes mcb's with a switched N connection that is single slot wide

they look like control panel breakers.

i meant ones that can be put in an ordinarily bars busbar.

yes we do have that type in our panels but that is slightly different in that there is a N bar then the breakers are fed from that then into din rail connectors

Ive fitted dimmers with them in the, they were hager ones iirc. Standard sized mcb but the the same terminal layout as the SPSN RCBOs.

In local tesco....Top class work not.....unsupported conduit for several feet vertically socket at bottom leant against fixture at floor level. Twin and earth cable aligned by being hung over a piece of conduit jammed into the tray at ceiling height

Did a CU change on Friday [old MEM cartridge fuse board] , check out the FRC 30amp fuse holder that I took out. :smiley2:
