Does this conform to regs?

It depends on what the manufacturers rated them at. I've got a pair here on my desk rated at 7 sheets with a bit of a buckle twist thing going on.

Outrageous! I always cover the scissors with insulation tape.

also, a small child could pull those scissors out and decide to run down the corridor while holding them, which as we should all know is almost certainly lethal to any child not accompanied by a grown up.
