Main fuse is a100a cartridge fuse at the main intake position. Tails to and from meter are 10mm. New fuse box fitted, rewirable before. Never estimated for tails in original quote! Now realised unsafe! Back to the drawing board with25mm tails in hand.

I think id just have bit the bullet on the job and spent the £9 on 25mm tails (Providing of course 1m is adiquate) it probably cost more to leave the premises come home and return to the job..

If the existing tails were 10mm and the fuse is 100a - You really have to ask do i need to upgrade the tails??

As for installing a 80a isolator, A) This doesnt change the situation at all B) this would cost more than changing the tails
