I used to get the bus from Rawdon down to school at Apperley Bridge, you can work than one out!

if its the place i`m thinkin of archy...then it was between the railway station and the post office (the big one).....now, that was the old leeds electric lighting station.....built around 1905 ish i think....Back in 77, coming down the A65 towards and near Leeds rail station, off on your right, there were some big CEGB workshops?
I got took round there when I was 17, still at school at the time doing A levels and got conned into going to University, should've signed up at them there workshops.
when my mates family came over here from holland they were looking at schools and tried to enrol him in the local borstal,well they weren,t very good at understanding english and the sign outside it read "RED BANK APPROVED SCHOOL" had a bad laughing fit when he told me that one.Apparently they thought it meant it was one of the better schools due to the term approved being in the title.how come you were going to school in huddersfield then Archy...if you were living up yeadon way?...
